Fraud and abuse costs the people of Florida a lot of money. This makes it hard to pay for health care. You can help prevent fraud and abuse by following these tips:

1) Pay attention to your billing statements. If a doctor bills for services your child did not receive, this may be fraud.
2) Don’t let anyone use or “borrow” your insurance card; this is fraud.
3) Be sure to report anyone who wants to make special, private deals that involve your child’s health care or ID number; this is likely fraud.
4) Call (866) 787-4557 if you think there is fraud or abuse going on.  You don’t have to give your name. You may receive a reward.
